Visit to Cephalonia May-Jun 99

There is something special about the island of Cephalonia.

Maybe it is the colouring, or the clear air, or the sea-

Or maybe the Tavernas - this one is in the village of Lourdas, and we got excellent service.

(Click on it for more info)

Or the buildings. 80% were destroyed by an earthquake in 1953.

They have all been rebuilt in fine style.

Then there are the special geological features. This is the Melissani Cave (the Nymphs' Cave). It is an underground lake of startling beauty.

Of course. our regular companions when we visit Greece are Doug and Aud, help make a vacation.

Or perhaps we just like the Greek islands.

Here are myself, Kate, and Doug.
